Abran Cancha is a project dedicated to Children’s and Young Adult literature that promotes reading and writing in children. Its director, the writer Adela Basch, imagined a world with more diversity of perspectives and with more space for the production and reception of art. For this reason she started her own publishing house, whose catalogue includes literary genres that are seldom published such as theatre, poetry, storytelling, and humor, by both established and unpublished authors. Abran Cancha hopes for reading to be a fun daily activity. And they hope, most of all, that words will be shared—sometimes in silence and sometimes aloud–but shared to the joy of all readers.
