V&R Editoras, founded in 1996 by Trini Vergara and Lidia María Riba, is a publishing house specializing in illustrated books for the general public, headquartered in Buenos Aires with branches in Mexico and Brazil, where they publish in Portuguese. With an emphasis on graphic quality, as well as carefully crafted texts with universal appeal, the press was initially dedicated to gift books, a concept almost completely unknown in Spanish and Portuguese language literature at the time. In 2001, the press expanded to include books for adolescents, and, at the same time, a line of planners with original content. They then added a line of cookbooks, maintaining their representative artistic quality and attention to content. In 2009, they added children’s literature, for readers from 12-14 years and up.
